The Bay Point Pride is eight years old! We continue to paint over graffiti, clean ugly vacant yards, deliver free paint to those who need to keep their fences and walls free from ugly taggers.

We will present Yard of the Month Certificates to five more winners at the Ambrose Recreation & Park District Board Meeting on April 10. That will make 480 winners! But don't worry, we have 6500 yards to choose from.

Kudos to our selectors: Vivian Lisa, Tina Gonzalez, Agnes and Harry Schumacker, Lorraine Harms and Lucy McCree.

Thanks also to Michael Gaxiola and Shawn Smith for painting over lots of filthy language on the beautiful blue wall on Bailey Road. They are young and covered lots of the wall in two days. Felipe Ramirez is a faithful worker for the Pride. If he sees work to be done, he just goes out and does it!

One of our first Chairmen of the Pride was Harley Opp. Harley passed away recently. He provided lots of inspiration to all of us. We will truly miss him.
